SALEM

With nearly 18 years of experience, Salem has been passionate about hair color, shape, and design for as long as she can remember. Originally from Oregon and raised in California, she later moved to Virginia to earn a bachelor’s in Studio Art with a minor in Psychology while building her clientele. Her career expanded into the film industry, where she led hair departments on indie films beginning in 2013. From 2014–2019, Salem lived in Haiti, founding a nonprofit career development center for women with a salon attached to the center. Returning to the U.S., she opened Bloom Studio. Salem specializes in lived-in and natural coppers, and luxury extensions using the Natural Beaded Row method. Her mission is to create a calm, welcoming space where women leave feeling confident and in love with their hair.
